Why do we recommend Activated Alumina desiccant media?
The last stage of air drying usually involves a dryer that contains tiny desiccant media beads. These beads absorb moisture up until the point they become saturated. After saturation they stop absorbing moisture causing compressed air moisture to increase. Using the right desiccant media will make a tremendous difference in your finished paint jobs. There are a few common desiccants. We recommend Activated Alumina desiccant media because the beads do not shatter and pass through the air system. When desiccant media shatters the particles appear to be “trash” in paint jobs.
